Thematic explorations of heartbreak, abandonment, and trust persist within the engrossing production, which bolsters both upfront vocal leads and a ghostly quivering aspect, which exudes a wordless entrancement at points throughout. The final minute develops from piano-forward intimacy into string-laden theatrics, concluding the production with aptly dynamic flair.
“So why do I cry?” the vocals ask before a brief pause, which glides into that aforementioned ghostly vocal element thereafter.
