Previously impressing with the catchy single “Frame of Mind” last year, Sam Levin is back at it with the equally engaging “First World Problems”. The track works off a minimalist snare beat to start, emphasizing Levin’s punk-oriented tone and scraggly guitar tones with a Strokes-esque vibe and introspective lyrics. The track is the first single to be released from his upcoming full-length, I Am, following up his 2017 debut Frame of Mind. It’s another stellar and promising showing from the young singer/songwriter, who seems poised for a nice year.
