Another new single, another impressive piece of melodic magic from Camp Candle — already impressing with “Black Friday”, “Surface”, and “Before the Night”. Again, the group employs a vivid soundscape heavy on nocturnal synths and a tinge of hip-hop in the rhythm section, with Briana Mills’ captivating vocals strongly resonating in a way that reminds of Little Dragon’s Yukimi Nagano. “Feelin’ a way,” she repeats with hypnotic appeal as the track fades out, with the warbled, funk-tinged synth still lingering in the distance. Camp Candle continue to impress on each release thus far, especially on the newly premiered “Feelin A Way”.
