“Mind Designs” is the second single off Wax Mistress’ debut EP, A Ghost in the Garden. The Nashville-based act will certainly appeal to fans of Tame Impala, with similar psych-friendly guitar pulsations and spaced-out vocals, as well as adding a bit of a space-rock nonchalance akin to Spiritualized. Sporadic slaps of guitar comprise an intriguing verse, with touches of synths emerging past the one-minute mark as the vocals and general instrumentation come together more. Capping off with an excellent, spacey guitar solo that begins around 04:20, the track is consuming from start to finish.
