Mixing delectable guitar twangs with a synth-tinged undercurrent and dance-laden percussive edge, “Saint James” is an interesting new track from Denver-based act Meanr Mynr, named one of the best livetronica acts by Ranker. The fluid guitar integration within the synth-set soundscape reminds a bit of Ratatat, though with more soul inherent in the guitar lines. It’s a very well-done track, off the act’s new Sacrifice EP, which per Meanr Mynr “allows the listener to form their own story about the sacrifices we make in our human experience.” The five tracks, including “Saint James”, are worth a listen, streaming in full below:
