“Quiet Ones” is a new single from The Dot and The Line, an English duo formed this year and comprised of keyboardist, guitarist and programmer Ned Douglas and vocalist Hetty Clark, who share a love for downtempo electronica. Clark’s vocals tout a haunting, captivating quality, shining particularly well amidst the effervescent key additions in the hook — which sport a sort of Halloween-like tone that’s seasonally appropriate. “It’s always the quiet one,” she sings as the track comes to a close, before one final go-round of the twinkling chorus. “Quiet Ones” is a memorable track from this newly formed duo.
