Mojave Red are a psych-pop act from Houston, Texas, whose new single “Fading Out” shows an engaging aesthetic that features haunting, multi-layered vocals and playful guitar lines — with a tinge of psych-laden funk, a la Neon Indian. Per the band, the track is an “introspective and slightly nihilistic portrayal of nightlife in the urban sphere.” It certainly touts a nocturnal feel in the guitar tones and reverbed vocals. “Fading Out” is a captivating release through-and-through from Mojave Red.
