Like previously released tracks “From Inside” and “Tous les humains“, “Love Frustration” is a glowing example of Million Kopek’s knack for suave infectiousness, which slickly navigates the waters between electro-rock and alternative. In fact, the duo show off some interesting new vibes in this one; there’s the nonchalance of Beck, with a touch of Pulp-y Brit-pop and Hot Chip dance-friendliness for good measure. It’s an overall nice synth-pop flavor, driven by an assortment of working gears — a funky bass line, an ominous build-up bridge, and crisp production that blends heavy bass, guitars, and synths with natural precision. “It’s such a waste of time, I’ve never been so patient, I’m having love frustration when I just look at you,” goes the chorus, the greatest culmination of this track’s plethora of good ideas. Million Kopek’s third great track in as many months continues to show why this band is on our radar.
