The Futureheads Unveil A Capella Album

English post-punk group The Futureheads revealed that their upcoming release, Rant, features solely a capella performances. No instruments will be heard on the album, which is out April 2nd on the band’s own Nul Records. Rant will be comprised of already-released Futureheads tracks and some covers, including Black Eyed Peas’ “Meet Me Halfway” and Kelis’ “Acapella”. You can check out the a capella version of Futureheads’ “Robot” below.

Singer Barry Hyde was frank when speaking about what the album should mean to real fans: “A Futureheads fan who doesn’t get Rant is not a Futureheads fan. This version of The Futureheads has always been there. We’re bringing to the fore what we’re really about: a unification, a gang mentality, which is in the balance between our voices and our personalities. And on Rant we’re pushing that right into your face.”
