Deerhunter guitarist Lockett Pundt will release his second solo album, Spooky Action at a Distance, on April 2nd via Kranky. His first under the Lotus Plaza alias, The Floodlight Collective, was released in 2009.
Pundt will also release a 10″ split single for “Come Back” on February 14th, with the other track coming from Pundt’s fiancée Shayda Yavari, representing her Nice Weekend project. It will be limited to 500 copies, but you can check out a stream + MP3 of the track below.
Spooky Action at a Distance will feature ten tracks highlighting Pundt’s guitar-pop, which was warmly received and highly reminiscent of his work with Bradford Cox.
