Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood is scoring another Paul Thomas Anderson film. The Master (title unconfirmed) is centered around a religious cult led by Philip Seymour Hoffman. It also stars Laura Dern, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Joaquin Phoenix, and Amy Adams.The release date has not been announced, but producers are eying a late 2012 date.
Greenwood and Anderson worked together on the epic score for 2007’s There Will Be Blood, which was nominated for a Grammy a year later. It would have been nominated for an Academy Award as well, but the score was ruled ineligible due to sampling and extracts from Arvo Pärt and Johannes Brahms.
